Since 1986, Family Gateway has been uniquely focused on family homelessness, offering over 8,300 children and their parents the help they need to recover from crisis and make positive choices for their future.
Enjoy any of our three mini-camp community service days. Kids and parents do it together! You’ll receive a tour of the Family Gateway Homeless Shelter and do fun activities alongside the shelter residents. As an added bonus, every day features unique content presented by some of Dallas’ most talented entrepreneurs!
Wednesday – “Trash Becomes Treasure” with the Texas Worm Ranch and Earth-themed experiments with The Lab Dallas. Whip-up a mud-themed snack with chef Graham Dodds of Hibiscus.
Appropriate for children ages 5 and up
The cost of the project is $15 per CHILD, per day, to cover the cost of the projects.
