Since 1872, the mission of the Dallas Fire-Rescue Department has been to serve and protect the citizens of Dallas. The Department has 57 stations that consist of 55 engines, 22 trucks, 34 frontline rescues, and so much more. In 2009, rescuers responded to more than 275,000 calls.
Volunteers will get to meet some of our local heroes. We will go on a Station Tour and learn what the Dallas Fire-Rescue Department does for our community.
Appropriate for children ages 4 and up. Volunteers are strongly encouraged to bring any new stuffed animal to donate to DFD.
