Dallas Fire-Rescue Fire Station Tour
We will visit Fire Station 33 and see where some of our Dallas Firefighters spend 24 hours at a time while they are at work keeping our community safe. While they are there, they sleep, exercise, eat three meals a day and do chores; just like we do at our houses! The only difference is when someone calls 911, they have to stop what they are doing and leave their house right away to go help! Interesting fact: each shift pays for all three meals out of their own pocket, and there is one firefighter per day responsible for cooking all three meals for everyone! Fun fact: Firefighters LOVE when people stop by to say hi, especially if they bring treats! (Blue Bell ice cream is their favorite!) There will be a tour of the station and the Fire Truck and we will learn a little about the station and what our First Responders do!
