Since 1986, Family Gateway has been uniquely focused on family homelessness, offering over 8,300 children and their parents the help they need to recover from crisis and make positive choices for their future.
We will tour and learn about the Family Gateway and homelessness. Then we will learn a little bit about Martin Luther King and the importance of MLK Day of Service. Wee Volunteers, and the kids living at the Family Gateway will learn a little bit about Martin Luther King and the importance of MLK Day of Service. Then, we will color bandanas and write letters to our troops over seas. We might even be lucky enough to meet a real soldier!
Appropriate for children ages 4 and up
The cost of the project is $10 per child to cover the cost of supplies.
